WHY PAD?
Established for over 35 years, The Pickering Academy of Dance is based at the Newton Hall in Chapeltown, Sheffield.
Founded in 1985 by the late Melanie Pickering FIDTA, the PAD has become a dedicated dance family providing students with the skills and passion to achieve a career within the dance industry or simply the enjoyment of performing and meeting new friends.

Classes are held within a fun, caring environment, encouraging each student to build in self confidence. The strength of the school is shown through the students' excellent IDTA exam results and many annual competition achievements, including regional championships.
We showcase the talent at PAD in Fairs and Shows throughout the year. This provides the students with valuable performance skills and confidence, which they can then take forward into their future endeavours.
